One-Point Perspective - for Beginners - Ran Art Blog
One-point perspective is a view that all width lines are parallel to each other, and to the horizon line.
All height lines are perpendicular to the horizon line.
Only depth lines meet at the vanishing point!
Start by drawing a horizon line and a vanishing point.
Then, draw width and height lines.
Depth lines go to the vanishing point.
Then decide the amount of foreshortening, meaning the length of your box.
Draw some boxes on the horizon line, above it, and below it.
Next, draw a complex box, meaning a house, or villa, or building.
You can go over the lines with a technical pen.
And, color it with markers.
Drawing indoors, is like drawing inside a box.
The far wall is in front of you, and you pull lines toward you.
Once your structure is ready, you can render it any way you want. I usually like drawing in a realistic style.
