#club5050 Gypsy Horses
The number of gorgeous, long-haired gypsy horses here past the outdoor sports grounds of the school keeps increasing.
When I stay here in Rothwell, England with my family I make sure I walk past to say hello to them.
I avoid having a carrier bag on me as the horses become very excited about such and won't stop following you.
I never feed them. They seem happy grazing here not having to do anything else.
How not to envy these well-groomed creatures that just enjoy the peace and quiet here surrounded by nature.
This is a favourite walk of mine when I stay here. The area is a paradise for a birdwatcher like me with species of all sizes available. Flocks of noisy goldfinches seem very happy here on the tall trees whilst shy wrens occupy the shrubs.
There are always friendly robins and hungry blackbirds which never seem to argue about the tastiest mealworms.
A flock of geese grazes by a small pond here and pheasants are a common sight.
Plenty of butterflies can be seen here in summer. I even did a butterfly count here last year the second half of July which is something I might do this year too if I am in the area.
There is also a fun tyre swing here which I couldn't resist having a go on!
Swinging On A Tyre.
The view is lovely and you literally see how different shades of green mix together. A few of the horses did look at me but in general they were more interested in the lush grass and each other really.
Every time I see the horses here on the way to Desborough I ask myself what is actually the plan?
View of Desborough, Northamptonshire, England.
Why would somebody keep getting more and more of them just to look after? Maybe a horse petting zoo would emerge here for the families both living locally or just visiting the area.
I would love to see such an attraction here as it would be something more unique to do when in Rothwell in addition to the shopping and having a very tasty meal at the modern Italian restaurant. There is also a food market, a fantastic butcher's, a hairdresser's, a Chinese takeaway, a fish and chip shop and a few pubs of course. So how not to look forward to coming back here.

Greetings @pandora2010 Thank you ever so much. I am really pleased that you stopped by. The thumbnail photograph is my favourite actually. I love its mane too, especially the many colours it features some of which reflecting the sunshine. Have a nice evening.
Likewise 🤗❤️
this really reminds me of the national forest
That’s very good to know. I haven’t thought of it really. But now you also gave me the idea to post a few photos of Dartmoor ponies. Cheers.
