Society, it's intense structure and the invasive requirements just to fulfill your obligations for citizenship are the core reasons for depression.

I have always been of the Nomadic Mind, shunned schedules and structure and followed rules selectively. Fortunately I have found a way to live my life contributing minimally to the system, which is in opposition to my personality.

I defrag by hitting the road, figuring it out as I go. Following is the full video for the hike and below you will find more of my favorite photos from the trip, a Slideshow, information for the trail and video of one of the sunset's I was blessed with.

Forest Lakes Trail is a 6.8 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Rollinsville, Colorado that features four small lakes. The trail is rated as moderate and primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and fishing. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

Directions from the Forest Service Website:
From Nederland, travel south for 4.5 miles on Colorado Highway 119 to Rollinsville. Turn west onto the gravel Gilpin County Road 16 and continue eight miles to the Moffat Tunnel. A large parking area is available at the East Portal Trailhead.

DISTANCE
6.8 miles

ELEVATION GAIN
1541 feet

ROUTE TYPE: Out & Back
Activities:
dogs on leash, fishing, hiking, nature, trips, walking, forest lake, river, waterfall, wild flowers, wildlife, and it's rocky.

I had originally chosen a different trail in a completely different location within the mountains. After arriving in Colorado I found out the last two permits were being issued at that very moment.

Even though I identify as an Anarcho-Primitivist, I am a huge fan of current technology. Thanks to AllTrails.com, I was able to find this and many other trails, which did not require preapproved permits.

I hope by adding this information you can be saved from making this same mistake. So, always research your itinerary. This can save a lot of grief and possibly even a waste of a trip.

This trail was, to my surprise quite clean. The trails in the James Peak Wilderness are maintained by volunteers, proving you do not need a central authority to accomplish these types of tasks.

Thank you for sharing your time with me and please, make time to get outside, record it for others to enjoy and please help keep our areas clean by practicing Leave No Trace principles.

Really cool post. Upvoted and resteemed. Can't wait to get out and hiking. Will be heading to Ireland in May. Have been told there are some great places to hike there.

What would you say your favorite part of hiking is?

I just like the peace and quiet, the connection to everything around you. Just able to get lost in the majesty of it all!

I am jealous you will be in Ireland. You won't find a more beautiful place. I have not been there, but I love coastlines. My favorite part of hiking is not having an itinerary. I am just able to be, without needing a place to be.

Awesome post. Upvoted and followed you. It makes me want to go hiking again. It's one of the things I find so enjoyable.

Thank you for taking the time to comment. I am glad my post can inspire. Please, get out and hike as often as possible. Your body and mind will thank you.😀

It is great that you think we can keep nature clean and untouched without an authority.... I just wish you were right. I almost fear that as your post becomes more popular more people will find those places... etc.. etc...
I don't dislike people, I just don't trust them :)

I believe there's a way for humanity to live voluntarily and it wouldn't be any worse than it is now, except we'd be free. We can be a destructive species, but we can be the stewards as well. When we start raising our kids as stewards, they'll naturally be more tolerant beings as well. Nice to meet you, my friend and I followed you.

This looks like a beautiful place to go hiking @notconvinced. As one of the editors for @steemitworldmap’s daily #traveldigest, I would love to see this post pop up on http://steemitworldmap.com.
