The painting is quite erotic. It depicts a half-naked woman, and three other beautifully dressed women performing with men. Considering the features here, I thought this painting was a Courtesans' performance. The two men were looking at the women with great desire. The women also dress up and dance in a way that arouses their emotions.

I believe this must be a picture of a theatre where courtesans are performing, because I decided so because of the surroundings of the picture and the stairs on the side, showing a woman's a leg climbing the stairs.

After seeing this painting, I was reminded of the past royal era. That era was a very different era from the current era. Although people look down on prostitutes in today's society, they used to be well-received in that society. That is, in the past, they were charming women who held a special position in society and had special skills. They were known as city beauties, abhisarins, and vesaganawas.

In the past, they were not directly considered prostitutes. Because their role in society in the past was much broader than today. Such women were involved in providing entertainment, art, music, dance, poetry, conversation, and relationships built on talent. So this painting confirms it well. Because a good example that shows the talents of such women is this painting called The Carnival by Gerda.

It is not ordinary men who come to dance and have entertain with these women, but men from the upper classes. In fact, the past culture and the current culture are very different. That is the case in our country. I do not know exactly what the rules are in other countries regarding this. Anyway, the painting is excellent. Maybe you who saw this painting can think something different than me. Anyway, this is how I thought.

Me encantó leerte. Gracias por estar. Un abrazo.
