Julian Assange is in Imminent Danger of Being Extradited to the UK

Ecuador is in talks with Britain to "resolve" the fate of Julian Assange. The WikiLeaks Twitter account has posted a tweet about the Editor-in-chief of RT, Margarita Simonyan, saying:

"My sources tell me that @JulianAssange will be handed over to the UK in the next weeks or days. Like never before I wish that my sources are wrong"

RT is the only source to issue a warning about Assange's expulsion from Ecudaor into the hands of the Brits who want to jail him. The World Socialist Website recently posted:

The London Times reported July 15 on secret talks between the British and Ecuadorian governments. They are apparently intending to expel WikiLeaks editor Julian Assange from the Ecuadorian embassy in London, where he has enjoyed political asylum for six years. The article said the talks were "an attempt to remove Assange from the embassy," and they were being run at the highest levels of government. The Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Sir Alan Duncan, is personally involved.

Chris Hedges also wrote about the impending eviction of Assange from Ecuador on his site (The War on Assange Is a War on Press Freedom ) and Tweeted:

Ecuador is preparing to evict and turn #JulianAssange over to British police. They have confirmed they are in negotiations with the British to "resolve" his fate.

The mainstream media doesn't care about the issue of press freedom as it relates to Assange, becoming the new attack dogs for the establishment. Chris Hedges writes in his article:

The failure on the part of establishment media to defend Julian Assange, who has been trapped in the Ecuadorean Embassy in London since 2012, has been denied communication with the outside world since March and appears to be facing imminent expulsion and arrest, is astonishing. The extradition of the publisher—the maniacal goal of the U.S. government—would set a legal precedent that would criminalize any journalistic oversight or investigation of the corporate state. It would turn leaks and whistleblowing into treason. It would shroud in total secrecy the actions of the ruling global elites.

Julian's mother, Christine Assange, is worried for her son, and pleas in a tweet for action to protect Julian before it's too late:

Dearest supporters of Julian,

As Julians life is in extreme danger right now from an Embassy asylum eviction & extradition to the US the priority is to act to prevent that.

Your actions to protect Julian will give him more comfort than a personal letter atm.#FreeAssange

Assange has support in the form of protests, petitions, online vigils, works of art and music. But the mainstream media is eager to see an authentic figure of the free press be dismantled by authoritarian governmental power and act as if they are the real free press.

Losing Assange to tyrannical powers would be a loss that would likely reverberate into wide protests in support of him and what he stands for. He has exposed corruption and crimes of the corporate and statist elite. Without Assange and WikiLeaks we wouldn't know about many issues in our world. Protecting Assange is protecting the freedom to know, speak and share the truth about our troubled world and the protected criminal activities within it.
