My Actifit Report Card: January 5 2019 - Took A Ride On An Okada

Hi Actifiters and Steemians,

I was on one of these today, they are called Okada in Lagos but I believe you call it motorbike. Lol. The roads to the place I went to were very bad and it would be risky going with a car. The motorbikes were more suited for the journey.

We had a lot of walking around to do because a friend of mine is looking for a new accommodation so we had to check different houses to get a good one but unfortunately we didn’t get anyone he like. I was put off from the onset because of the bad road that leads to the place. I had already told him I would not be a frequent visitor if he moves to that location because I wasn’t ready to drive to the place or enter the motorbike in a bad and bumpy road before getting to him. We saw a lot of good houses though and were taking the steps up and down different 2 or 3 floor buildings which normally don’t have an elevator built-in. Climbing the steps was enough exercise on its own and I had to stop sometimes to caught my breath. Lol.

We had to ride back in a motorbike and that was a bumpy ride I must say, but it wasn’t all bad, we hang out in a bush bar to enjoy some pepper soup with cold drinks. That was indeed refreshing for us because the sun was hitting us on the exposed bike and the dust was another thing to contend with. All in all the day wasn’t as bad as we had felt at the beginning of the day.
