Plan B - plus some random Seascapes
OK, look... I can't be here like I was before, but it seems I can't really leave either. I need to reclaim some of my time, and find a way to be WAY more efficient.
(Random photos follow throughout this post - because that's what I do.)
Cannon Beach, Oregon
So what the heck am I going to do? I have a plan:
- I will be posting less in order to save time.
- Stopped my power down
- Revoted my witnesses pretty much as before
Ross Bay, Victoria, BC
- More contest posts, fewer rants
- Shorter posts. Many of you post single images... why am I posting up to eight or ten???
- Fewer comments - they just take me too long
- Autovoting
- Delegating - for fun and profit. I do need to earn something here.
Tofino, Vancouver Island, British Columbia
Now about the autovoting - first of all I can't vote at all for a couple of days. My vote is worth nothing anyway and now it will be reduced to 25% maximum. On the other hand, I will be voting for more people and lots of you guys I follow post multiple times per day. I will have to phase this in slowly and try to have my votes live within the 20% daily voting power allotment.
My delegation is going to go to the ocd-bot for white-listed Steemians. I need to earn something here, otherwise what's the point?
This is way more info than most anyone will care about, but my point is I don't do these things lightly. I have to work this out, and it's going to take a few days to set everything up.
I turned 64 years old today. It's time to figure things out and Steemit cannot be the center of my life. I figure I might want to go outside now and then, you know?
And yes... I'll still be doing #mountainmonday and #eaglefriday. Ok friends? I know some of you wanted me to stay. This is the best plan I've come up with.
Happy New Year, and all the best for 2019!
Thank you @pixresteemer!
First off Happy Birthday and great shots
And balancing time n steemit is always a challenge and I can understand you revaluating how you will spend the time you have
Easy to say but harder to do... I've been here for hours today! Thanks very much!
yes indeed it is so true the site and friends on here make it kind of addictive
Finding a way to improve efficiency.is also one of my goals here.for 2019. Good luck! And Happy New Year! ☺

Happy New Year! Lets do this! Its going to be a great one for all of us!
Happy New Year, Melinda :)
Really happy to hear that you will still be around.
I'll give it another shot. I have to reclaim several hours each day!
Happy New Year! Glad you are staying! Super random pics!
Thanks very much! Happy New Year :)
Happy New Year Keith!
Sounds like a good plan!
Thanks Dave. If you want me to do that other thing, I will @daveks. Happy New Year!
Shorter comments, and fewer pictures will certainly save some time, I know. It takes a long to to decide on the picture, then to start doing the words, then well one picture doesn't fit so you want to find a different picture. I have tried to start limiting myself to three or less pictures, I almost always tried to keep it 5 or less just because of page load times for the images. but then steemit sort of fixed that by resizing the images on the fly to save a little.
Auto votes I guess work, I mean some days I have a hard time finding 20 post to vote on, and when I find one, I want to leave a comment, so a double win there for you.
I think I have only managed to post one post a day for seven days in a row twice. A couple of times I tried real hard to do that, but it just did not work for me. I can not believe there are people that can put out 4 post a day 7 days a week, they must be posting machines is all I can figure.
I go days sometimes without doing a post, I still try to get my votes out everyday, but if I have things to do, they wait, plus I can vote on my phone, so It doesn't matter where I am as long as I have a signal.
Happy New Year, and remember your life comes before steemit life. You should not feel bad about missing a day or two or heck even a week while away enjoying an outing, that is life.
I do take a long time choosing pictures for a post - not this post... those were some old photos I had sitting on my desktop. But in general I do take lots of time, and if I write something to go along with the photo, that can take a long time. I'm not quick at any of this, but I'm going to have to learn to be. Thanks a lot for your comment, and Happy New Year!
Thanks @shasta ;) Happy New Year!
Happy New Year Keith!
Happy New Year, Erika! See... I listen to you. Sometimes. ;)
Thank you Keith.
