O Holy Night - gentle acoustic cover
Very happy to share with you a new cover I did just today, just for Christmas.
I've always loved this song. I hope you enjoy my version!
xx,
Kay
For those who may have missed this the other day (I'll post on my next few posts here and there to catch up with everyone):
Also, an update!
The last few months were occupying as I get to know LA. I finally feel settled, even though I'm only here where I'm living until the end of March. With my work, it's always so many different things that I just have to cycle out of some things for a while to stay balanced--not even that I do it intentionally, but just that I find certain things in different seasons will drop off.
In general, I ended up taking a social media hiatus, not just Steemit--not really intentionally, but it's what happened--and found myself plugged back into a lot of "earthier" things. I was also split between two countries and find I can only produce worthwhile content when I'm relaxed and settled before it just feels inauthentic and forced and exhausting.
Now I'm able to get back in the routine a bit with the focus of the Christmas season, and hope it will carry consistently into the new year! I have lots of great content plotted out for 2019.
I don't post a whole lot on the pages I usually list at the bottom of my posts, but I am there as well if you want to connect a bit elsewhere. I am finding it's been worthwhile to post on MeWe a bit as well (anybody know it), and am building a nice little loyal fanbase over there, which has been fun.
Patreon
I also took a timid leap and started a Patreon page/added a monthly donor option to my website. The life of the artist and income sources being so unpredictable for so long has taken a huge toll on me. I love Steemit and believe in the platform and am excited to see where it all goes, but in the meantime I just need other avenues to keep things going for a while so I can keep producing quality work--even for Steemit itself! I do of course believe in the long-term benefit of crypto for all of us, and want to contribute here meaningfully as well, but have to "take care of business" here and now as well. So--if you believe in my work for the long haul and even want to help me continue to be able to post good quality content here, consider becoming a patron.
Here are some other ways you can support my work and stay connected in case you're interested:
- Get the album.
- Subscribe to my YT channel.
- Become a monthly donor via my website.
- Make a one-time donation
- Follow me on IG and FB, or find me on MeWe
- Share my music with friends of yours in a personal way--via text or email, or even in person (personal contact and recommendation is big!)
- Follow me here (@kayclarity) if you don't already :)
- Continue to comment and upvote my work! So many of you have continued to be generous with your listening and votes in spite of me being inconsistent on the platform. I do really see and appreciate it all!
I totally understand the desire to keep the Steemit world inside of Steemit, too. But in trying to be sensible, I wanted to give you the chance to be a part of supporting me and my work in other ways in case that's something you would want. I have been so encouraged the last few weeks in getting some patrons and donations and album sales and it's already making a difference for me. Lots to be grateful for. I'd love to have more of you be a part, big or small, in the work I'm doing which I believe our noisy world truly needs.
Thanks so much, always, for everything! Steemit--as well as all of you individually--has been such a source of encouragement in some key times for me.
I love it too, and that was gorgeous!
Thank you!
Beautiful song, beautiful voice! I'm a new follower. Altough you hadn't posting very often I appreciate a lot that when you do it, it's always really good content. Nice work!
