Chao Phraya River in Bangkok had changed so much.
The scenery along Chao Phraya River used to be flanked by wooden houses, trees, some neocolonial style buildings built during the heyday of European cultural influences. Nowadays, high rise buildings, condos, hotels and shopping malls. We call this progress and modernisation, for better or for worse.
To get these photos, I had to climb lots of small steps up the side of Taksin Bridge in the evening. The wind was very strong on the bridge and there were very few people walking along the bridge.
The biggest shopping complex called IconSiam could be seen on the left side of the river. It’s so huge that I still haven’t covered every floors in that mall!
The river looks different during the night. This bridge offers the best spot for viewing the fireworks displays by big hotels and shopping malls by the river. Hope you’ll visit Bangkok one day!
All the best wishes for the New Year 2023.
Thank you, friend!
