Sully is an American biographical drama film that was released in 2016 and was directed by one of my favorite directors Clint Eastwood and was written by Todd Kormarnicki. The movie is based on the auto biography Highest Order by Chesley Sullenberger. The movie stars the legend weary Tom hanks as Sullenberger, Aaron Eckhart, Laura Linney, Anna Gunn, Jamey Sheridan among others.

Review Of Plot.

In January 15, 2009, US Airways pilot captain Chesley sully Sullenberger and Jeff skiles was in charge of the US airways flight 1549 which was flying from the LaGuardia airport to Charlotte Douglas airport but three minutes into the flight captain sully realizes something is serious wrong with the plane and planned on returning back to the airport which he just left but he couldn't due to the extent of the injury of the plane. He had to land the plane on the Hudson River which was a miracle, the crew and passengers leave the plane without any fatalities. The press and the public praised captain Sullenberger as a hero but the incident leaves him haunted and having bad dreams in which the plane he already landed crashed into a building.
Sullenberger's issue started when National transportation safety board claimed that the plane could have gone back to airport which it left in the first place using computerized simulations to back up the claims.
Clint Eastwood took his time in adapting the book which is why the movie came out to be so great, The script is a little it odd but that's okay considering it's Clint Eastwood. The shifting back and forth between the events was great the pace was excellent. The movie grabs by the beck and won't let you go do you gotta see it at your own risk.

Review Of Plot

Tom hanks plays the role of Captain Sully, his acting was was top notch, I heard he had to meet with the real Chesley Sullenberger and that definitely contributed to him bossing out his performance. Those who know hanks know him to be a brilliant actor which he shows over and over and over again which is what he did in this movie. With the direction of the legendary Clint Eastwood and Hanks playing the lead role you just know it's gonna be a bomb movie which is what this movie is.

Aaron Eckhart plays the co pilot role, Aaron gets to play the good guy which I don't think I have seen in play and he did really well. Aaron being Aaron did really well in his performance also. It was nice seeing Delphi Harrington an underused actress as a passenger on the wheelchair which she did good too, she plays a stereotypical Jewish mother from New York.

Laura Linney gets to play Captain Sully's wife Lorraine, she was the annoying wife which loved her husband just like abhor her wife would and was so supportive of her husband during the good and the bad times.
Although the passengers of the plane are not supposed to be first rated actors they did well and seemed sincere.
After seeing this movie I believe you should have a heightened respect for flight attendants whom in this movie they were very brave and directed the passengers very well to ensure and secure them to safety.

Final Analysis

The movie opens with the vision of what could have been. The movie actually got of to a slow start , the movie is about a miraculous water landing done by captain sully which was done with the right touch of drama. The recreation of the incident by this movie is so compelling. The investigation in this movie tells that the movie is looking for a scapegoat which isn't a surprise but was the movie able to get a scale goat?? (You'll have to watch to see)
It's an American hero movie but this time it isn't about the military or a soldier or a police officer this time it's about a airline pilot.
