I’m not entirely sure how to proceed with this, so I’m reaching out to see what you guys think. I sent 9 STEEM and the 'post link' in the memo to @upmewhale about 3 hours ago to receive an upvote, but so far, no upvote.

I would like to private message them, but I'm not sure that feature still exists by only sending 0.001 STEEM. It might work if I send 1 STEEM, but I feel like I'm throwing good money after bad since I just sent 9 STEEM with nothing in return.

I've used @upmewhale twice already and it worked fine. And I see that it is working because people are getting upvoted after sending STEEM.

I think @upmewhale is great and it allows new users to get exposure when they first start out.

How should I proceed to either get refunded or upvoted? I appreciate any advice.

Update:

Now, bear with me, I'm going to make a leap here. Maybe the reason why @upmewhale denied an upvote was because it flagged my post as "low quality stuff" because I wrote “Bitcoin is a “crock of shit,” in the body of the post. But the context of the post is the complete opposite meaning. I decided to send another 3 STEEM to @upmewhale to upvote this post. And it upvoted the post a minute later.

To determine how the @upmewhale bot flags posts as “low quality stuff” and denies your upvote with “no refund” is next to impossible to determine unless we ask the developers. But it does beg the question: Will I lose my money to @upmewhale if my content is not determined to be “quality stuff?”

Again, I think @upmewhale is great, but it would be nice to get some clarity. Any input from the steemit community would be greatly appreciated.
