Induction Cooker

Hello creative friends of the Hot News community, I again greet you with various information I know. We wish you health and happiness always, the best greetings to all of us.

My wife is an employee in one of the state-owned enterprises engaged in electricity, the company is a state-owned company PLN that monopolizes all needs and takes care of and distributes electricity to all regions of Indonesia so that I can know some things related to electricity as knowledge, including about a household appliance that my wife brought home a few days ago.

Induction Cooker for employees of the State Electric Company

Recently, the company where my wife works has just distributed 1 stove unit to all its employees in Indonesia. This is a form of commitment by the State Electricity Company and the government to socialize induction cookers to the public, and the first step starting from all ranks of State Electricity Company employees throughout Indonesia. That's why my wife got 1 unit of the induction cooker, so we can use it and try to switch to a new way of cooking using this induction cooker. So far we still use stoves that utilize gas cylinders, which are commonly used in Indonesia, in addition to kerosene stoves and also firewood in some areas.

Induction cooker provided

All of you may already know what an induction cooker is, but some of us do not know it, even I may be one of those who do not understand well what an Induction Cooker is.

What is an induction cooker?
An induction cooker often called an electric stove (although different) is a cooking tool that uses a collection of copper circles that produce a magnetic field, to further conduct electric current to the electromagnetic cookware contained on the surface of the stove.

Although induction cookers and electric cookers tend to be the same because they use electric current as a conductor of heat, both have slight differences. Electric stoves are more wasteful in using electricity than induction stoves, this is because induction stoves use electromagnetic waves to cook. Electric stoves directly use electric current to deliver heat, so they are much more wasteful, and of course with some other differences.

My induction cooker display

If you look at the usage guidebook that I read from the Induction Cooker packaging we have, it is written on the [induction cooker guide]MYAMIN product usage guide, as follows :*

Induction cookers use electron-magnetic energy to transfer heat directly to the cookware in contact with its surface. This is a completely different heating process compared to conventional gas and electric stoves, where heat is generated on the surface and transferred to the cookware. - MYAMIN product usage guide

The induction cooker that my wife brought home a few days ago has 2 furnaces as a place to cook, and each furnace has a different electricity distribution capacity, one furnace has an electric current of 1000 Watts and another furnace has a current of 1800 watts.

The market price was seen in the catalog myamin.co.id with Myamin type Induction Cooker ICM-352, ranging from IDR. 2.100.000 up to IDR. 2,300,000 or equivalent to 828.3 Steem up to 840.1 Steem.

When I talk to my wife about the advantages of induction cookers, some of the advantages I can know from the understanding that my wife knows so far about induction cookers. Some of these advantages include :

  1. Induction cookers do not heat our kitchen but rather heat our kitchen appliances. This means that the temperature in the kitchen room is not so hot, as using a conventional gas stove.
  2. Energy efficiency, although I do not know for sure how efficiently the energy is released by the induction compressor, the so-called induction compressor can reduce energy by 15% than the electric compressor. And if compared with a gas stove can be 45% more efficient.
  3. It has an accurate cooking temperature, this is because it has been programmed in advance.
  4. More have good security and avoid accidents caused by Burns and so on.

Talking about the advantages that an item has or whatever it is, we also have to be fair in providing information about the shortcomings that are owned by induction cookers. Some things I know about the shortcomings of induction cookers, although it does not guarantee the level of truth, but here are some of these shortcomings :

  1. Speaking of devices that require electricity, it is certain that induction cookers that use electricity certainly require high electrical power and are also stable.
  2. Most induction cookers can already use existing cookware, but some special cases and designs still require cookware that is compatible with the induction cooker.
  3. The cost of electricity is high, but when compared with conventional electric stoves and gas stoves, it is much more efficient.

Trying to cook using an induction cooker

But despite it all, induction cookers are designed to reduce the use of gas and other natural materials that are not renewable or long renewable. So that the transfer or use of induction cookers, is considered to be much more friendly to the environment. And according to some media in Indonesia, the government and the State Electricity Company will create a national program to divert all people to be able to use induction cookers sustainably until later evenly distributed throughout Indonesia.

Trying to cook using an induction cooker

Here's a little information I can share with you all, about the use of induction cookers. Incidentally, I already have 2 types of stoves that are electric, first the electric stove that I bought a few years ago, and now I also have an induction stove that I will try to use in the next few days.

That's all my short posts on the occasion of today, the best greetings to those of you who have read this post. Best regards to all of us.
