Old And New
During my walk last Saturday I came across this funny scene. A completely dry leaf from last year in perfect condition. This is very unusual in mid April here, as winter can be tough at times. This winter we had snow, I can't say plenty but enough and plus, temperature went way below zero.
These leaves are not resistant to cold, nor to snow. At this time of the year you usually see a lace like skeleton, which is the coolest thing to photograph, if you are lucky but most of the time leaves brake and you can only find fragments.
This makes me wonder how could this leave survive a tough winter without any visible damage. Nature is the best artist, that's what I'm always saying and by the way, it's true. Also looks like nature is the best magician.
However, I have a dilemma that is bothering me for years. I'd like to know how is it possible that we care for plants, water our gardens, use the best knowledge and strategy to get healthy fruits and vegetables, yet we fail very often, while weed is growing without any care, watering, additional nutrition and so on.
How is this possible? Why is weed more resistant than fruits and vegetables in our garden?
Can anyone give me and answer to this question?

I think it's beautiful.
Birds, and insects, are good cultivators and respect the earth.
They do not use chemical products.
And they show love.
My grandmother cultivated it, her plants with a lot of love, she sang to them.
When my grandmother died
I was sad in the fruit, and in the fruit plants.
You're right, we all need birds and certain insects to keep our planet healthy.
Plants need love, so I understand your grandmother.
Thank you for stopping by and have a nice weekend!
