surprising results after 1/2 year of analyzing my growth!
Welcome to the 26th weekly installment of my series on Steemit income and growth!
Income on Steemit is generated by "investment" (the more Steem you have, the more you earn) and by "work" (earning Steem by contributing content that adds value). Already having invested my savings in Steem, I'm now working by uploading unique valuable content to the blockchain. My goal is to increase my average weekly income to 15 Steem.
Calculating weekly income
Considering income from accounts that I own, and that my wife owns, and accounts started as group projects with my funds (currently @drutter, @medikatie, @greatesteem, @hempy, @girlsofgreen, and @sativazeee), here's the running tally:

In the past week, I (@DRutter) and @MediKatie both had a couple good posts pay out. This nudges our growth back up to a respectable rate, and brings our running average up to almost 1%. Another way to calculate it is to look at how much Steem we've brought in (251) in how many weeks (25). On average, we've managed to pull off a 1% overall growth rate!
At a 1% compounding rate of growth, we should reach our goal in about 32 weeks. (Granted... at current rates, 50 Steem would only get us 38 USD monthly, but hopefully crypto prices will be on the rebound by then!)
Our team reputations are now 52, 51, 49, 42, 41, and 37. Doin' the group grind! : )
Growth Graph
To celebrate half a year of data, I put the numbers into a graph.
The graph makes it look like my growth is linear (fixed at 1% weekly), rather than exponential. Considering my growth is "rolled back in" to my "principle investment", it should be exponential!
The straight red line on the graph shows a 1% weekly growth rate, and it matches very closely with the actual data in green. If the 1% linear growth is projected out, it looks like it will take at least 40 more weeks to reach our goal (purple), not 32 as suggested by the exponential growth calculation (blue). Interesting!
I'm learning a lot about my own growth, and about Steemit, by keeping and analyzing these data. I wonder if anyone else is doing something like this? Seeing more than just my own data would probably be valuable.
In any case, I'm going to continue to keep track of my team growth. Stay tuned for updates and analysis!

Awesome dude, you got some great growth and also what a great idea having multiple accounts :) up and up in the only way, together in years many of us will be looking back and remembering the days of small post payouts, and helping others along the way as much as we can! 😀 peace bro

I don't know if I can take credit for the multiple account 'idea', but yeah it has its pros and cons. It takes a lot more work and messing around (considering we don't use bots etc) to manage, and you're not actually gaining much of an advantage. Mainly it helps in splitting up projects we've got going, different kinds of activism we do, and it helps us involve the other @GirlsofGreen models who don't have their own accounts (yet).
I think you're bang on that we'll be looking back on these days with wonder and fondness! When it took months of effort (including several young ladies modeling in their undies!) to make $10. It may not be long at all before everybody here is being paid what they're really worth. Can't wait! : D
