Learning challenge s23w4: "I Love My Body /plank shoulder tap and Burpee".
Greetings and welcome to my blog. It’s another exciting week to show concern over our body.
This week exercise is really interesting, so as such, I love to participate.
Today, I'm here to share with you two program for week which is plank shoulder tap and Burpee, how to perform it and it benefits.
Planks shoulder tap
From my teacher's explanation, I understand that plank shoulder tap exercise program to work almost the entire body, it is a variation of the traditional plank that includes the shoulder touch.
During performance, I place myself in the traditional plank position with my legs hip-width apart, my hands extended under the shoulders and I started alternating shoulder touches, with the right hand touching the left shoulder and then with the left hand touching the right shoulder, I rest other part of my body so as to maintain the position and balance.
I repeated the motion by touching my left shoulder with my right hand. I repeated it until I got the numbers of count being required in the course with 20 seconds rest.
One of the benefits of this exercise is to help improve stability and coordination as well as helping us build strong core. The plank with shoulder touch exercise helps shoulders to move freely without anything like pains and also for shoulders to position well, therefore improving spinal alignment.
Burpee
Burpee exercise is an excellent exercise that helps to improve our cardiovascular health and also compromises of strength.
This is a full-body exercise that affects different muscle groups which involves the chest, arms, shoulders, legs, and core. While carrying out this exercise, I noticed effect on muscles within abdominal, quadriceps, femoral, gluteal, and pectoral regions.
The both exercise is essential for our daily life because it strengthens our body, help in body coordination, balance and good cardiovascular health.
Follow throw as I carry out the both exercise.
Which of these programs is the most difficult for you and what exactly makes it difficult? How did you overcome the difficulty?
To be very sincere, shoulder planks tap was the most difficult I have ever attempted. While washing my instructor's video, I thought to be very easy but trying to practice it... hahahah,, l faced wahala. Keeping the hips at shoulder level is not so easy and maintaining a straight line was a big challenge. When I practice this exercise the first day, my leg was shaking and greater pain at my arms due to body weight.
Nevertheless, I tried to overcome all difficulties by maintaining a proper breathing throughout the three exercise reps and I can boost fully said that the exercise is really good for our body.
What are your overall feelings upon completing these programs?
Sincerely to everyone here, I was tired and exhausted at the process. During plank shoulder tap, I felt pressure in my abdomen, my arms and my legs especially the toes and while carrying out burpee, I breathe vigorously and sweat profusely. Jumping up and returning down help in maintaining balance, strengthen different muscles of my body.
I Hype my body
I rushed and freshen up since my daughter was crying trying to carry her to breastfeed her at that instance was difficult, I decided to lie down and breastfeed her at some point that we both slept off. Waking up, I felt energetic although I still feel some slight pain. I enjoyed the exercise knowing that it is a greater chance of staying healthy and fit.
From week one to this week four, I understood one bitter truth, "staying fit isn't easy and it has never been easy instead it's a consistent activity which brings good results at the end. The learning challenge program has taught me the above is true no pain no gain.
My special thanks goes to @ngoenyi and @genomil for teaching us what is beneficial for our health.
I would to invite @ulfatulrahmah,@suboohi, @chefdanie and @pandora2010 to share their entry with us.
