Feb. 19, 20: Eco Zone, Crash Napping, Games, and Teaching Calculus

Well, first time in a while that I barely skidded past the ten thousand mark...a far cry from yesterday’s #DoubleDay! Still, the streak remains alive! 😀

“Slept in” till nearly quarter to seven! Woohoo! But I was in and out of sleep, so not actually restful. Kinda’ hurtin’ at this point.

Spent most of the morning bouncing between Steem and Discord working on Eco Zone and experimenting with the new community features like setting roles and crossposting.

It’s very cool that the ability to crosspost is built-in just like resteeming, and the crossposted post is a brand new post, another opportunity to showcase your work!!! 😄😃😁😀

The Eco Zone community is growing quite rapidly, which I’m very pleased to see. 🤗 So far the response has been very positive!

Took a nap yesterday, and today after I got my posting and stuff done, I just absolutely crashed again.

I set the alarm to get me up with enough time to get a reasonable walk in, but when I woke up I found offers for summer and fall teaching in my inbox 📨! 😊

I figured that was imminently important, and so jumped on choosing classes and responding right away; it’s first come, first served by the time the full-time and adjunct faculty have made their choices and it gets to us part-timers. I absolutely love how on top of the game the department chair is!!! It gives a feeling of job security and time to think ahead. 😁

I chose a Linear Algebra class for the Fall. Not sure if I’ve got it yet, but if so, that will be the first time I’ve ever taught it...a new challenge!!! 🧐🤓🤩

However, my napping and subsequent emailing meant that there simply wasn’t time to get out at all. Soooo, no maps, no zombies, no pics...I know, it’s lame, eh? 😒

Still at it on Holybread, still struggling to keep my ranking. 😯

I did complete all three of my quests, though, and earned my daily bread. 😋 Got three million crumbs saved up now...3 Steem maybe?!

To the sheer amazement of all present, not a single foul words was uttered at Steemmonsters today!

Caught a solid win streak and made it up into Gold I already! 👍🏆

I had Earth splinter today and completed the quest with barely enough DEC to get a potion charge, but in Gold I.

Looks like my alchemy potions paid off and I got two new gold cards 🥇:

In the evening I taught the second class on sequences. We got a bit farther than the first class, which makes me nervous that I forgot to mention something, but nothing has struck me, so I dunno. 🤷‍♂️ We have a bit to catch up on next class and then we talk about series (sums of sequences). Man, it compounds quickly!
