“All-You-Can-Eat” - Unlimited Chinese Hotpot Review- Seven Hotpot, Abu Dhabi
In the capital of the United Arab Emirates – Abu Dhabi which is just 2 hours driving away from Dubai, this city is similarly a melting pot of different nationalities,cultures, languages…as well as cuisines. You can find easily Ethiopian’s injera next to an American style burger restaurant, or Middle East foods next to a Vietnamese the Pho house…
Living far away from home, and I am always curious about different cultures, I usually like to try different foods too, especially exotic ones. For me, Indian’s chicken biryani is already something really excotic because I taste some spices I have never tried. But I realized in years living as an expat in the UAE, I still love East Asian foods the most.
And today I would like to review and introduce to you one of a kind Chinese restaurant in the city where I am living now, it’s Seven HotPot Restaurant. Because in a place that everything is highly expensive, so are the foods, and to find a place to eat and make you stuffed, you can’t move with a specially affordable price is really a gem in this city. And that’s why I call this is a one of a kind Restaurant.Because…
It’s cheap!
Eat everything you can, seafoods, vegies, meats, deserts with the price of roughly $14 ( 49 DHS) per person. With that price we barely eat well in a restaurant in Abu Dhabi/Dubai or even a proper fast food meal. So you can imagine, how exciting everytime I go there and grab everything I want to feed my stomach.
It’s unlimited
The “All-You-Can-Eat”is how they name the menu, you iterally eat everything they offer in that special menu. It has a wide range of options from Australia lamb, Chicken breast, USA beef, crab stick, tofu, mushroom…everything...And you can keep ordering the same thing you like. Our favourite hotpot is “Unique spicy hotpot”, it’s has a yin-yang symbol. The white part you are looking at is non-spicy one, the the red part is obviously spicy, and it’s really hot. My wife she has a different taste with me, I don’t really like spicy foods. So we order the same thing but put in different parts.
Sometimes this favourite hotpot remind me a lot of thing in life, that how we are all different and how we should embrace the differences to balance and be together.
Hygiene. Excellent service
Except the receptionists ( I think they are the owners too), the staffs mostly are from Pakistan, and they can understand well Chinese even barely speak anything. They are extremely helpful and sometimes serve beyond our expectation as they know how to pay attention to details. When we are out of foods, or they hotpot is looking to be over boiling, they are always there to help. Well trained, and thoughtful staffs.
I forgot to mention, the restaurant offer a lottttt of different sauces for you to choose and mix, from simple soya sauce, vinegar, seasame sauce, garlic sauce, seafood sauce…you can customised the sauce you feel like eating. And the place we get sauces are so clean and hygiene as sometimes the manager always come and check the cleaniness.
You waste foods, you get fine
I understand that they offer unlimited foods for the hot pot, but the restaurant has a rule that if you over order you most probably get penalty. Even thought everytime I visited, I ate until I needed to call an ambulance but I never waste anything. So, yeah, couldn’t remember how much is the fine.
And, even you have lots of choices with foods for just 49 Dirham. Drinks are excluded from this menu. But it’s totally worth it.
Location
They have different branches are in good locations, the one we visit very regularly is just opposite Al Wahda Mall, you can say it’s a city centre. So it’s accessible to the beach, the bus terminal and there are many different restaurants in the same spot. It’s a competitive market but I believe they are always busy because of the unique strategy to attract customers.
Memories
Me and my wife have been coming here since we started dating. So it has a lot of our memories, we come here very often from summer to winter. Everytime after our duty or before we are just about to go to work.
Bonus
When you finish your delicious hotpot, there are free deserts for you including sweets, spring rolls xD and orange. They even give hand wet tissue before you leave.

That sounded like a really nice place to eat, I of course would be fined, because I would want to try lots of different stuff, so I might over order a little bit.

I don't like sushi, but most of the chineses food restaurants in USA i have liked that I ate at, when growing up our neighbor was japanese and we would get invited to tea every now and then, but me I am partial to food. spicy to mild. Pizza to prime rib, peanut butter to pate's, food. its what makes the world go round. I do not go out for chinese/asian food often any more, but I did enjoy it when i could go out to eat.
